Jigyasu is a tutor for one child at a time, built around a single idea: it will not hand over the answer. It asks a smaller question instead, and a smaller one again, until your child can answer it herself and climb back up from there.
What this is not
Not a homework-completion tool, not a general-purpose chatbot for your child to ask anything. It follows the Cambridge Primary curriculum and stays inside it — a question outside today's material is still answered honestly, but flagged for you to check.
Your data and hers
Exactly what is collected, where it's processed, and what we'll never do with it is written in full, in plain language, on the privacy page you agree to at signup — this document does not repeat it. Deleting your account is permanent and immediate; ask from inside the product and it happens the same day.
Cost
Free to use, with a daily spend limit per child so a long session can't run up an unbounded bill on our end. If you'd like to support the project, a voluntary contribution link is available from your dashboard — nothing is required.
Acceptable use
One account per family, for your own child. We may suspend an account for abuse, attempts to circumvent the safety design, or anything that puts another family's data at risk. Suspension freezes access; it does not delete your data, and can be reversed.
The honest warning
It is an AI, and it will occasionally state something wrong with total confidence. It's built to flag its own uncertain claims to you, but it isn't perfect — the transcript is always there to check. If your child asks something heavy (death, illness, something frightening she's heard about), the tutor answers honestly and gently, and flags it so you know to follow up. It will not dodge her or hide it from you.
One more honest thing
This is a small, independently-run project, not a company with a legal department. This document is written in good faith to be accurate and complete, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If something here concerns you, say so — we'd rather change it than have it be quietly wrong.
