What happens with her data

What’s collected

Everything she says to the tutor and everything it says back. If she uses the microphone, her speech is converted to text — the audio itself is not kept.

Where it lives

A server in Bangalore that we rent and control directly. Not a third-party product.

Who can read it

You, and the person running this project. That’s worth being plain about: as administrator, every conversation is readable — we’d rather say so now than have you discover it later. It is only read to fix problems, never for any other reason.

Where it’s processed

Her words go to Anthropic’s API to generate the tutor’s replies (Anthropic does not train models on it). If she uses the microphone, her voice audio also passes through two more providers — Deepgram, to turn her speech into text, and Sarvam, both for that and for the tutor’s own voice replies. All three are outside India, so her words — and her voice, in the moment it’s spoken — leave the country to be processed, even though everything is stored on the Bangalore server described above.

What we’ll never do

Show her conversations to anyone else, use any of it commercially, or keep it if you’d rather we didn’t.

Deleting it

Ask, from inside the product or directly, and we delete her account and everything in it, permanently, the same day. No questions, no exit interview. (Encrypted backups taken for disaster recovery are kept up to 14 days before they age out on their own — deletion removes her from the live system immediately, but a backup already taken may still contain her data for up to that long.)

The honest warning

It is an AI and it will occasionally say something wrong with total confidence. It’s built to flag its own uncertain claims for exactly this reason, but it isn’t perfect. If she asks it something heavy — and children do ask about death, illness, and frightening things — it will answer honestly and gently, and flag it so you know to follow up. It will not dodge her, and it will not hide it from you.

Anything here you’d like changed, tell us and we will.
